Colors of the Anthropocene

Pigments in this archive are derived from both Geological and Biological Sources and have been collected from sites heavily effected by human interference and industrial production/extraction.  These samples are currently Numbered and Cataloged based on their date of collection within the entirety of the archive/project – however for the purpose of this visual archive, presented in their own category.   Additional categories and connections will be made at a later date as this project evolves and expands. Clicking on each pigment image will provide the following information : Name, Source, Location, Date of Collection, Chemical/Toxic Composition (if applicable and when available) and who the sample was collected and submitted by and any additional notes with regards to processing, additives etc.  To read the corresponding Color Stories that have accompanied each pigment sample – please either click on the link in the pigment description by clicking on the thumbnail image or by referencing and finding the corresponding archive number with it’s story on the <a href=”http://narrativeterrain.com/color-stories/”>Color Stories Page</a>.
